Dear Friends,

As you all know, Dry River Radical Resource Center is an amazing space that provides a number of services to our community. In addition to being a great all-ages venue and a diverse community gathering place, DR is also an inspirational example of self-sufficiency. In order to maintain the various services that the center offers (Computer Lab, Freeskool, Venue, Library, etc.), the collective that organizes the space relies on its members and friends for the relatively small amount of money it needs every month to survive. It is this commitment to financial independence that allows us to be unencumbered by outside influences.

But at the moment, your favorite radical collective in Tucson has come up short this month and needs financial assistance in order to continue its good work. This may sound like a daunting task, but do not despair! DR has been successfully raising what it needs (and more) every month for years, with the continuing support of people like you. There are many ways to help support DR. If you are able to come by and drop off a one-time donation (no matter how small), that's great; if you can commit to a monthly amount, even better. And of course you can always show up for one of the many events that are going on (check the online calendar at dryriver.org ) and make your donation while being entertained. If money does not hold a prominent place in your life, a donation of baking materials (ie. sugar, flour, butter, etc.) would also be appreciated, as we will be attempting to lure more donations by providing tasty treats at events.

In addition to the immediate needs of Dry River this month, we would also like to remind you of the coming summer. While some of you will take those months to explore our beautiful planet and escape the Tucson heat, DR will still be here, doing it what it does, and it must pay its rent, even when it's really hot. There will still by plenty of great goings on at the space for those of you tough enough to stick around, so we ask that you keep DR in your thoughts (and budgets) during the summertime.
